At Agora, we pride ourselves on having a laser focus on supporting our families and students in the best ways possible. In response to feedback from both families and teachers, we've created a new role this year: the Family Teacher Coach.

Family Teacher Coaches forge strong relationships with students and parents that begins at enrollment and lasts throughout the families' career with Agora. FTCs are dedicated to helping navigate the day-to-day duties and responsibilities that come with online learning, and help create strong local Agora communities throughout the state. They do this through:

• Home visits with their assigned families
• Serving as the primary point of contact for student and family support
• Providing student and parent training to ensure they’re set up for success in the program throughout the year
• Ongoing engagement in the communities working with their assigned families
• Organizing and facilitating local Agora Days Out events

With the help of Family Teacher Coaches, Agora teachers can focus 100% on the academic success of their students, since they are free from the distraction of administrative duties brick-and-mortar teachers are often saddled with.
